AGS is recruiting on behalf of one of a world class integrated construction and support services provider for oil & gas company. Our respected client is seeking a Legal & Corporate Secretary, preferably with experience in generally comprise coordination of all of the legal matters and policies in the Company, for the job Legal & Corporate Secretary, to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Only qualified and experienced professionals should apply for this job.

Key job responsibilities will include:

  • Establish legal policies and procedures for the Company.
  • Prepare and negotiate contracts for the Company with its various counterparties whether oil and gas operators, subcontractors, vendors or financiers.
  • Advise the Board of Directors on legal and licensing requirements for the Company’s operations, and changes to those requirements from time to time.
  • Advise the Company on any contract disputes that might occur from time to time, whether involving commercial negotiation, arbitration or litigation.
  • Select and brief external legal practitioners from whom specialist advice is sought and manage and monitor the related arrangements including service quality and cost.
  • Establish templates, proformas and contract manuals to assist with the consistent application of the legal policies across the Company’s activities.
  • Maintain the corporate records and provide corporate secretarial duties.
  • Keep complete records of all contracts and supporting documents and develop and implement a document retention policy.
  • As the business grows, develop a legal team for the Company to support its operations.
  • Other legal matters as required by the Board of Directors from time to time
